Jean-Paul Goude (born 1940) is a French graphic designer, illustrator,
photographer and advertising film director. He created several well-known
campaigns for brands such as Perrier, Citroën and Chanel.
With his former muse, model and performer Grace Jones, he has a son, Paulo.
He did several music videos for Grace Jones, between 1981 - 1985.
The add for Citroën CX, ad, 1984, with the car driving into the mouth of a giant robotic head looking like Grace Jones. Banned in several countries at its time.
The Chanel Egoïste, ad, 1990 and Chanel Coco, ad, 1991, with Vanessa Paradis as a bird in a cage.

good u put the focus on him for 1nce, he did actually play a HUGE role in the makin of the GRACE JONES we refer to today. I e the video for Slave To The Rythm was totally pioneering in that field and Goude is very very interessting for his work in the field in between art AND advertising etc.... Im actually writing a piece on the fact that even the swedish daily paper DN (read m a i n s t r e a m) today are publishing an article on G J as an fashion icon for 2008...speculating a bit on how this did happen...
