she disappeared from public view and apparently neither
acted nor modeled again, according to Klein.

If you truly are curious, Dorothy McGowan is alive and well in Mamoroneck, New York. She didn't stop modeling after Polly Maggoo, but had a much lower profile until her retirement in the early 1970s.
